This is what I woke up to on Saturday morning. The sun just rising over the eastern edge of the country, the Atlantic still as sleepy as I was.
We took a quick trip to Wilmington for two reasons: one of our favorite bands was playing there, and after a year and a half of living in North Carolina, I still had not taken Micah to the beach. So! We made a weekend of it. The first night we spent at Wrightsville Beach, so we could wake up to this view, and explore the beach. The second night was spent in historic downtown Wilmington, within a few blocks of the concert venue (and some truly delicious food and drink).

I spent my weekend stranded in 4 feet of snow. Yours sounds better. Yaaay weekends!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine! I sent some warming energy to all my northeastern friends and family this weekend. I hope you made the best of it - strong drinks, games, food that sticks to your bones, marathoning a new TV show, something like that?...
DeleteUnfortunately my boyfriend and all my friends were stranded too so I've been alone in my tiny one-bedroom apartment since Friday slowly going crazy, haha. I'm finally free now, though. There's just not many places to go that are open... I have to meet my friend at Walgreens just to see her because her street still isn't plowed. She's going to walk 45 minutes to get there... :\
